Orcas Sunup Celebration

Orcas Erickson

The Orcas Morgan Story
Orcas Morgans evolved from a childhood dream to live on a farm on a hill and raise horses. Orcas Island, in the beautiful San Juan Islands, provided the original location and the name of the farm. However, as the number of horses grew, the island proved to be too isolated and so a move to the Kittitas Valley of central Washington.

This has proved to be ideal horse country. Plentiful irrigation, wonderful hay, sunshine most of the year, winters that are relatively easy, good access to trails in all directions, and for those who like, there is plenty of old fashioned cow country activities available. My Morgans are thriving here, of course they are easy keepers, and they all handle wind and hard cold and summer heat quite well. There are good vets here and various shows and horse activities, as well as the Ellensburg Rodeo every Labor Day weekend.

Please take a look through the pictures at the horses I own. At this time, I have too many horses for one person to manage (and try to work too), so I'm trying to reduce the herd. Those which are for sale will have a price indicated and a bit about their "horseanality". All my young horses have wonderful gentle attitudes and are very easy to handle. Some are trained to ride or drive, just ask about that.

I love to have people come by to visit, so don't hesitate to call and come see the "kids". Feel free to call the numbers listed or write or send me an e-mail.
